The architecture of every stilwerk location is a key element in the overall concept, and is aligned perfectly to each site. The Hamburg stilwerk, for example, is housed near the city’s famous Fish Market in a heritage-protected red-brick industrial building dating from 1910. The impressive modern architecture of stilwerk Berlin was designed by Novotny Mähner & Associates in cooperation with Milan architects’ office Studio & Partners. The Düsseldorf location, the work of J.S.K. Architekten, features a stunning elliptical atrium and movable glass roof. These characterful exteriors conceal streamlined interiors in the distinctive stilwerk style; the individual retailers, ranging in area from 50 to 1,200 square metres, are grouped on several storeys around a roofed courtyard. Glass elevators transport visitors to the various floors, enabling them to browse their way down from the top floor. Jean Nouvel is the architect of stilwerk Vienna. The building rises like a sculpture next to the Donau river and applies the cities skyline. Apart from the premium stilwerk shops you will find the new Sofitel Vienna Stephansdom with a gourmet restaurant and a unique view over the city.
